The age in which this disorder starts to appear varies from person to person, but studies have shown that up to 50% of people start to show symptoms as early as 15 years old. At this age OCD has been shown to be more predominant in male subjects. The occurrence of OCD in adult subjects is seen to be evenly distributed between males and females.
