In order to overcome depression, it is very important that you become aware of how much of yourself you give to other people. To get through depression and become stronger as a result, will require you to set boundaries for yourself and others. If you do not set your own boundaries, other people can deplete your energy by making demands on you that you may not wish to fulfill, but may feel obligated to.
